The engine is the product. The ceiling is the price.
Reading MeritValue is free: every company page, every model, every receipt, with no account. Paid plans are for taking the same engine into your own tools — the API, the MCP server in your AI assistant, your spreadsheets — with a higher request ceiling and screening. We don’t sell better answers, only more of them.

On iPhone? The iOS app gives you 5 companies a month free and sells its own subscription in the app.
No key yet? Get a free one at /api-keys first.
A subscription attaches to one API key and can be cancelled any time from the manage link above — the key then returns to the free tier, it is never revoked. No live market data in any tier: prices are yours to supply, by design.
Do I need to pay to read company pages?
No. Every company page on meritvalue.com is free to read, with no account and no monthly limit — the valuations, the five-year fundamentals and every filing receipt.
What does a paid plan add?
Paid plans are for using the engine from your own tools: the REST API, the MCP server in Claude or another MCP client, scripts and spreadsheets. Analyst raises your key to 5,000 requests a day and turns on the screening endpoint; Desk raises it to 50,000 for agents and pipelines. Both use the same engine and the same provenance as the free tier.
Does a web subscription unlock the iPhone app?
No. The iOS app has its own allowance (5 companies a month free) and its own in-app subscription, bought through the App Store. A web plan attaches to an API key.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the manage link on this page. Your key returns to the free tier; it is never revoked.
Is there live market data in any plan?
No. MeritValue has no market-data licence, so the price is always yours to enter. That's deliberate: the site values the business, and you bring the price.
